Cedar Decks

Framing Materials
We use #1 Southern Yellow pine, pressure-treated lumber for the load-bearing structure of all of our decks. It boasts fewer and smaller knots than the #2 treated lumber that retailers in town typically stock (structural integrity is higher due to the fewer structural imperfections within the wood, i.e. knots). Using this product greatly reduces high and low spots in the flooring of decks, and it allows for excellent acceptance of chemical treatments that make it rot and insect resistant.
Decking Materials
We utilize Western Red Cedar for our cedar deck projects.
